MLPLBA hosted two Open Houses this year. We had about 20 guests on Sunday, May 24, 2015 and another 20 guests on Friday, June 12. 2015. Max Cavender was the only member of Central’s team to manage a win on Day 3 of the U.S. Lawn Bowling Championships in Seattle. Max can still earn a silver medal with a win in his last game tomorrow. Although losing both games today the women’s pairs team has an outside chance at gold, but…

Milwaukee bowlers competed in the club’s 2012 Pairs Tournament Saturday June 30th. Pairs teams of men and women bowled together during morning and afternoon games enduring temps in the high 90’s and an untimely hatch of japanese beetles. Overall a very enjoyable day of lawn bowls. This past weekend Max Cavender and Jim Cavender emerged as winners of men’s pairs playdowns and will represent the Central Division in the US National Championships in San Diego, CA October 24-28.
