Milwaukee Lawn Bowling and Milwaukee Recreation Continue Their Partnership in 2011

Are you looking for a new activity for the summer, which includes fun and competition for the whole family? How about trying the game of Lawn Bowling at beautiful Lake Park in Milwaukee, located on the corner of Newberry Blvd. next to the golf course.

Last year classes were held for beginning bowlers, and 24 community members attended 2 classes during the month of June.  This year we are going to hold a class on Monday evenings in June from 5:30-7:00PM.  The class is open to experienced bowlers who will be involved in league play, and beginning bowlers who will have instruction before play begins the second week of the class.

Join us for “Bowling on the Green.”  The class is open to community members, 12 and older, you need to wear flat soled shoes and bowls (equipment) will be provided.  Class size is limited, so sign up early with Milwaukee Recreation at 414-475-8180.
