After taking a hiatus for several years and then being merged with the Otto Hess Invitational in 2013, the Sydney Steller Invitational returned as a separate women’s only tournament on September 6, 2014. While only two teams played, it was a fine day of pairs competition. The winners were Rebecca Nguyen and Glorianne Mather.
On Saturday July 16th, The MLPLBA held its annual pairs tournament – Pineapple Club Pairs. This years winners were: 1st place – Jim Grzybowski and Pat Loehr 2nd place – David Olsen and Marge Knitter 3rd place – Pat Mueller and Alice Sedgwick Spider – John Adamski
This past weekend Max Cavender and Jim Cavender emerged as winners of men’s pairs playdowns and will represent the Central Division in the US National Championships in San Diego, CA October 24-28. This annual event is competition amongst bowlers who represents the USLBA’s seven divisions. Congratulations and best of luck to the father and son…

MEN – Steve Nelson needed all of his experience in national and international play to get by his long time pairs partner Carl Landgren and win the 2015 Singles Playdowns. Max Cavender edged out three time national champion Bob Schneider to capture the 2015 Central Division Singles title. Bob had a 10 to 5 point advantage in the 18 shot final, but Max played some dynamic bowls to even up…
