The season is fast approaching. Like every year at this time, we need to spend some time on our greens, grounds and house to prepare for the upcoming season. Many of you have already volunteered your time to help with the new portico project and doing work on our house and grounds . Thank you for that. Now its time for the rest of us to help the club prepare for the 2024 season.
We have designated the next 3 Saturdays for this purpose.
April 20th, 27th and May 4th beginning at 9am each week
Each Saturday will have very specific tasks that we want to accomplish. This coming Saturday, we plan to do the following things:
- begin initial organization of the clubhouse including putting some things up in the attic and moving other items out of the clubhouse into the garages.
- We also plan on clearing the ditches on both greens as well as doing some edging.
- Sanding the edges of each green
- Pick up construction debris from the portico project
- Sand and possibly paint one of the picnic tables
Each of the tasks should only take an hour or two. So no need to spend your whole morning down at the greens.
If the list of tasks don’t fit your skill set or you can’t make it this week, stay tuned for next week’s list of tasks. It is expected that each member volunteer time for the club. These work days are a great opportunity to do that.
